Harriet Sonne de Torrens is currently completing her Ph.D. at the Institute of Art History, University of Copenhagen. She is co-founder and co-organizer of Baptisteria Sacra: An Iconographic Index of Baptismal Fonts, which catalogues approximately 3,500 examples from the Early Christian Era to the seventeenth century. She is also owner/moderator of Medart-L, a listserver on medieval art historical issues. Her most recent publication is the forthcoming "De fontibus salvatoris A Survey of Twelfth- and Thriteenth-Century Baptismal Fonts Ornamented with Events from the Childhood of Christ." in Objects, Images, and the Word: Art in the Service of the Liturgy, Index of Christian Art, Colum Hourihane, ed., (Princeton University Press, 2003).
